International Sudan Conference – EU and its Member States pledge €812 million to support humanitarian effort

On Wednesday 15 April, EU High Representative, Kaja Kallas, and European Commissioner for Equality, Preparedness and Crisis Management, Hadja Lahbib, took part in the International Sudan Conference, which marked the third anniversary of the regional conflict.

At the end of the event, donors pledged almost €1.5 billion - including €811.84 million from the EU and Member States - to support the humanitarian effort in the country. The European Commission will contribute...
