MEPs call for review of multiannual management plan for Baltic Sea stocks

On Wednesday 15 April, the European Parliament’s Committee on Fisheries voted in favour of a revision of the multiannual management plan for fish stocks in the Baltic Sea (see EUROPE B13747A13).

By adopting the draft report by Isabella Lövin (Greens/EFA, Swedish) by 15 votes to 6 with 6 abstentions, which will be examined at the plenary session in May, this committee wants the European Commission and the Council of the EU to assess a possible “causal link” between the pressure...
