08/04/2026 (Agence Europe) – In early April, the European Commission published a proposal for a decision to authorise Ukraine to derogate from the rule on the origin of its supplies, for its purchases of drones in the context of the EU loan to Kyiv for 2026 and 2027 (Regulation 2026/467 - see EUROPE 13841/10). Validated by the Ukraine’s Defence Industrial Capacities Expert Group, such a derogation can be activated when the military equipment concerned is not available at the required scale or within a timeframe commensurate with the urgency of the war.
