European Commission presents proposal to make EU founding member of Special Tribunal for Crime of Aggression against Ukraine

On Wednesday 25 March, the European Commission adopted a proposal to initiate the process for the European Union to become a founding member of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine.

The text will have to be approved by the Member States, which will enable the Commission to notify the EU’s intention to join the Tribunal as a founding member. The European Union will play a central role in the operation of the scheme, notably by being a member of the Management...
