Brussels, 25/03/2026 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 25 March, the Renew Europe group in the European Parliament welcomed Lukas Sieper, an MEP from the Party of Progress (Partei des Fortschritts) elected in Germany, bringing the total number of MEPs to 77. “Lukas’ arrival brings fresh momentum and a new generation’s energy to the pro-European centre at a pivotal moment for the Union. Renew Europe continues to grow as the political home for bold, forward-looking reformers determined to modernise Europe’s economy, defend democratic freedoms and connect European politics more directly with citizens’ everyday concerns”, said the group in a statement. “Europe needs a confident political centre that stands up for European values of pluralistic democracy and equality of opportunity”, declared Mr Sieper, who was among the Non-attached Members.
