European Disability Forum condemns absence of disability rights from the EU Gender Equality Strategy (2026-2030)

In a statement published on Wednesday 18 March, the European Disability Forum (EDF) condemned the fact that the European Commission’s new Gender Equality Strategy (2026-2030) (see EUROPE B13822A21), although referring to intersectionality, contains only rare and general references to disability.

These references are not accompanied by any specific measures to address the multitude of forms of discrimination in employment, health or education.
