On Monday 23 February, the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation and former President of the country, Dmitry Medvedev, denounced the work underway to ban former Russian servicemen from entering the Schengen area (see EUROPE 13814/1), implying that they could simply invade the EU if they wanted to. He took the opportunity to insult EU High Representative Kaja Kallas. “Kaja, the blonde rat, said she was working to ensure that hundreds of thousands of former Russian servicemen would never enter Schengen. What a loss for our fighters. Well, they can enter it without visas if they want to. Like in 1812 or 1945”, he warned on the social network X. (CG)
