Quintet alarmed by use of increasingly destructive means of warfare

In a statement published on Wednesday 11 February, the European Union, the African Union, the Intergovernmental Authority on Development, the League of Arab States and the United Nations (the Quintet) called for an immediate halt to the military escalation in Sudan, denouncing the “devastating” impact of the conflict on civilians, particularly in Kordofan and Blue Nile State.
