Cyprus Presidency of EU Council opens delicate debate between Member States on revision of GDPR

Less urgent technically, but just as sensitive politically - if not more so - than the revision of the regulation on artificial intelligence (see EUROPE B13784A5), the package to simplify the European regulation on data protection (GDPR) will be on the table for the first time for working-level discussions between delegations on Friday 16 January, under the aegis of the Cyprus Presidency of the EU Council.
