05/01/2026 (Agence Europe) – In its information bulletin on conflict zones published on Saturday 3 January, the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) advises EU air operators not to operate in Venezuelan airspace, at any altitude or flight level. In view of the US strikes and the overall high level of tension (see other news), Venezuela is “likely to maintain elevated alert levels for its air force and air defence units nationwide, particularly in light of the potential for further ad hoc military actions”. There are risks of spillover in neighbouring airspace which air operators should take into account in their flight planning and routing decisions. EASA, the European Commission and the Member States will continue to monitor the situation closely. Read the newsletter: https://aeur.eu/f/k5v (AD)
