Council of Europe secretary general to discuss Ukraine and Gaza at UN General Assembly ‘High-level Week’

Secretary General of the Council of Europe Alain Berset will be taking part in the United Nations General Assembly’s ‘High-level Week 2025’, to be held in New York from 22 to 26 September.

In a statement issued on Friday 19 September, he said he would stress “the importance of a renewed international commitment to human rights, democracy and the Rule of law in strengthening global security“.
