The Left in European Parliament is concerned about late and possibly insufficient transposition of Digital Platform Workers Directive

On Tuesday 25 March, members of The Left in the European Parliament, France’s Leila Chaibi and Denmark’s Per Clausen submitted a question for written answer to the European Commission on digital platform workers (see EUROPE 13503/24). They are worried about “Member States carrying out late and possibly insufficient implementations of the [...] Directive”, referring to fears expressed in Austria that slow transposition work has “contributed to job-losses among platform workers”. “In light of the serious situation, can the European Commission kindly provide an overview of the progress of implementation [...] in each of the Member States” and say how it intends to remind the Member States “of the need of a speedy and thorough implementation?”, they ask. Transposition must be completed by the end of 2026. Link to question: https://aeur.eu/f/g3w (SP)
