European Commission is monitoring imports of certain ethylene and ammonia products
25/03/2025 (Agence Europe) –
On Monday 24 March, the European Commission began monitoring the volumes of imports of certain ethylene and ammonia products into the European Union. It noted a significant increase in flows for these products, apparently as a result of Chinese overcapacity and trade defence measures imposed by a growing number of third countries. Monitoring imports will enable the Commission to react quickly if it considers that measures need to be imposed to re-establish fair competition between European and third-country producers. The data collected will also be available to European companies. (LM)
