EU imposes provisional anti-dumping tariff on Chinese glyoxylic acid

24/03/25 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 24 March, the European Commission imposed an anti-dumping duty on imports of glyoxylic acid from China. This is a chemical substance used in certain hair straightening products. Taking the view that imports of these products from China constitute unfair competition for European manufacturers, the Commission has decided to impose a tariff of up to 280.3% of the net price at the border.
