EU welcomes abolition of death penalty

20/03/2025 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 20 March, the European Union congratulated Zambia after it acceded to the Second Optional Protocol to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR), becoming the 92nd State party to this text aimed at abolishing the death penalty.
