09/12/24 (Agence Europe) – After being postponed for two days, the third Copernicus Sentinel-1 satellite was launched on the evening of 5 December from Kourou, aboard a Vega-C rocket. Sentinel 1-C will provide high-resolution radar images to monitor changes in the Earth’s environment, with new capabilities for detecting and monitoring maritime traffic.
