Jozef Síkela promises “strong Europe” that shows solidarity in its international partnerships

At his hearing before Members of the European Parliament on Wednesday 6 November, Jozef Síkela, Commissioner-designate for International Partnerships, set out his vision of EU development cooperation based on ambitious international partnerships centred on European values.

Mr Síkela affirmed his commitment to a Europe that is “strong”, shows solidarity and is geared towards eradicating poverty and respecting human rights.
