European Commission’s appeal against annulment of fine imposed on Intel for abuse of dominant position dismissed

On Thursday, 24 October, the Court of Justice of the European Union dismissed the European Commission’s appeal against a judgment handed down by the General Court of the EU in January 2022 (see EUROPE B12877A17), which annulled the €1.06 billion fine that the European Commission had imposed on American microprocessor manufacturer Intel for abuse of a dominant position between October 2002 and December 2007 (case C-240/22 P).
