23/10/24 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 22 October, the European Education and Culture Executive Agency announced that the call for projects PPPAs 2024 (Pilot Projects and Preparatory Actions) ‘Sport Supports – Emergency Sport actions for youth’ had closed with 71 applications received from all over Europe. Running from 24 July to 17 October, this pilot programme aims to support children and young people affected by humanitarian crises, such as the war in Ukraine, through sport. The aim of these sporting initiatives is to facilitate their integration into the host communities, promote their mental and physical well-being and encourage their social inclusion. Applications will be evaluated until March 2025 and the results announced in April, before the grant agreements are signed between May and July 2025. (NP)
