16/09/24 (Agence Europe) – On Saturday 14 September, the foreign ministers of the G7 countries and the EU High Representative promised that they would hold Iran to account for its “unacceptable support” for Russia’s illegal war in Ukraine with the sending of ballistic missiles and that they would respond with “new and significant measures”. They say evidence that Tehran has continued to transfer arms to Moscow represents a further escalation of Iran’s military support for Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine. “Iran must immediately cease all support to Russia’s illegal and unjustifiable war against Ukraine and halt such transfers of ballistic missiles, UAVs and related technology, which constitute a direct threat to the Ukrainian people as well as European and international security more broadly”, they warned in a joint statement.
