10/09/24 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 10 September, the European Commissioner for Health, Stella Kyriakides, and the Canadian Minister of Health, the Honourable Mark Holland, organised a virtual meeting to launch the EU-Canada Health Policy Dialogue. Under the EU-Canada Strategic Partnership Agreement, this Health Policy Dialogue focuses on cooperation in three priority areas: antimicrobial resistance, health security (including climate-related health risks) and non-communicable diseases (including cancer and mental health). A series of exchanges between the EU and Canada on these priority areas will follow. Through this partnership, the EU and Canada will share knowledge, scientific data and best practices to advance the health and safety of people in the EU and Canada. (LC)
