Brussels, 02/09/2024 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission has opened two consultations on its “CEF” network infrastructure funding programme, whose digital section includes funding for 5G networks in Europe with a budget of €30.4 billion. The first consultation is intended to help the Commission assess “the effectiveness, efficiency, coherence, relevance and EU added value of the CEF co-funding”. The second is an assessment of the objectives achieved by the programme at this stage, in order to “assess whether the rules are working as intended”. Both contributions are open until 24 September.
