30/08/24 (Agence Europe) – On Friday 30 August, the European Commission announced that it was opening an anti-dumping and an anti-subsidy investigation into certain Chinese fibreglass products. Anti-dumping and countervailing duties are currently in force on imports of these products, but will soon expire. The day before, the Commission had already reopened an anti-dumping investigation into Chinese bicycles in the same context. In all three cases, the European representatives of the industrial sectors concerned are behind the request for a review and believe that trade defence measures are still necessary.
