On 19 August, the European Commission launched a call for expressions of interest with a view to setting up a support group for the Energy Transition Partnership (ETP) in the EU fisheries and aquaculture sector.
This group is seen as a consultative body with the aim of actively contributing to the sector’s energy transition, advising the work of the Energy Transition Partnership (https://aeur.eu/f/d76 ) and contributing to the development of the roadmap for energy transition in the EU fisheries and aquaculture sector.
The support group for this partnership will be made up of 10 coordinators, each representing a specific category of stakeholder (small-scale coastal fishing, large-scale fishing, distant water fishing, aquaculture, ports, NGOs, etc.). Candidates must express their interest before 23 September 2024.
By joining the ETP Support Group, members will have the opportunity to play a key role in shaping the future of energy transition in the EU fisheries and aquaculture sector by promoting best practice and contributing to the development of the Energy Transition roadmap (see EUROPE 13311/15).
