EU Council adopts position on 2025 EU budget

On Wednesday 17 July, Member States’ ambassadors to the European Union (Coreper) approved the Council’s position on the EU’s draft budget for 2025, which provides for €191.53 billion in commitment appropriations and €146.21 billion in payment appropriations.

The total budget presented by the European Commission in its draft 2025 budget on Wednesday 19 June amounts to €199.7 billion in commitment appropriations (see EUROPE B13435A5).
