EU adopts new rules to reduce energy consumption of industrial fans

On Wednesday 3 July, the European Commission adopted new harmonised rules to reduce energy consumption and facilitate the repair of industrial fans, replacing the existing 2011 regulations.

These measures, which cover different types of industrial fans (with an electric input power between 125 W and 500 kW) and applications, are designed to reduce energy costs for European businesses and give manufacturers of “efficient, sustainable and repairable” products a competitive edge.
