12/06/2024 (Agence Europe) – Four corporate products – tobacco, ultra-processed foods, fossil fuels and alcohol – cause 19 million deaths per year globally, or 34% of total mortality, according to a report by the World Health Organization (WHO), published on Wednesday 12 June, which highlights “how big industry fuels chronic diseases, obstructs health policy and targets vulnerable people”.
