The European Commission decided to open a number of infringement procedures by sending letters of formal notice to 18 Member States, criticising them for failing to appoint a coordinator to implement the Data Governance Act.
The 18 countries concerned are Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Sweden.
