ACER modifies methodology for coordinating analysis of operational security of European electricity systems

On Monday 13 May, the Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) modified the methodology for Coordinating Operational Security Analysis (CSAM), following a proposal from ENTSO-E.

CSAM guarantees coordinated operation of the electricity transmission network, efficient planning of network operations and transparency of information on transmission network operations.

The changes concern the implementation of observability areas, where transmission system operators (TSOs)...
