19/04/24 (Agence Europe) – A new ACER report has examined the Czech gas transmission tariffs proposed by the national regulator ERO for 2025. As a result of the Ukrainian conflict, transfers of European gas imports have under-utilised Czech infrastructure. The ERO proposes using a capacity weighted distance methodology as a reference price methodology as well as risk mitigation mechanisms. Among other options, ACER recommends ensuring transparency in the proposed methodology and providing details on the revenue reconciliation and revenue sharing mechanisms, as well as the differences between the flow-based charge applicable to domestic exit points and the one applied to Interconnection Points’ exits. ERO must take a decision on pricing methodology by 19 October, while taking ACER’s analysis into account. To read the publication, visit: https://aeur.eu/f/bvj (PLD)
