Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe calls for transfer of frozen Russian assets to compensation mechanism for Ukraine

As a potential complement to the “Register of Damage” caused by Russia’s war against Ukraine, the principle of an “International Compensation Mechanism” funded by frozen Russian assets was unanimously adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe at its spring plenary session on Tuesday 16 April.
