European Commission receives 337 applications for ‘net zero’ projects to benefit from Innovation Fund

The European Commission has received 337 applications for new projects under the Innovation Fund 2023 (IF23) devoted to net-zero technologies, the Commission announced on Wednesday 17 April.

A total budget of €4 billion has been made available using revenue from the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS).

As the number of applications far exceeds the available budget, not all projects will receive support.
