European Commission registers citizens’ initiative calling for financial support for safe and legal access to abortion in EU

11/04/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 11 April, the European Commission officially registered the ‘My Voice, My Choice’ European citizens’ initiative, which aims to guarantee safe and legal access to abortion throughout the EU. This initiative comes as the European Parliament is calling for the right to a safe abortion to be incorporated into the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights (see other news).
