The enlargement of the EU to include new member countries provides an opportunity to re-examine all key policy and spending areas (agriculture and rural development, cohesion, connectivity, migration and border management), according to a European Commission Communication adopted on Wednesday 20 March on pre-enlargement reforms and policy reviews.
