MEPs approve provisional agreement on digital identity regulation

29/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – Meeting in plenary session on Thursday 29 February, MEPs voted in favour of the text of the provisional agreement on the European Digital Identity Wallet, with 335 votes in favour, 190 against and 31 abstentions (see EUROPE B13288A12). Confirmed in November 2023, after having already been the subject of a political agreement in June, the text provides for every EU citizen to be able to use, on a voluntary basis, a Digital Identity Wallet to access online...
