European Parliament calls for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza

As announced by EUROPE, by adopting several amendments to the Sánchez Amor (see EUROPE B13360A6) and McAllister (see EUROPE B13360A5) reports on Wednesday 28 February, MEPs called for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza. Until now, they had called for a permanent ceasefire subject to conditions (see EUROPE B13331A2).

In a Renew Europe amendment to the McAllister report, MEPs “call for a permanent ceasefire so that aid can be delivered to civilians in the Gaza Strip”. They...
