European Parliament votes overwhelmingly in favour of package to revise EU’s Multiannual Financial Framework

Meeting in plenary session in Strasbourg on Tuesday 27 February, MEPs broadly approved the various components of the mid-term review of the European Union’s 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) (see EUROPE B13345A21). These included the €50 billion Ukraine Facility and the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP).

However, the two co-rapporteurs of the text in the Budget Committee, Jan Olbrycht and Margarida Marques, expressed some regret at the various cuts made...
