MEPs approve provisional political agreement on ‘Gigabit Infrastructure Act’ in European Parliament committee

22/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 22 February, members of the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy approved by 54 votes, with none against and six abstentions, the provisional political agreement reached by the EU Council and the European Parliament on 6 February on the deployment of high-speed networks in the EU (‘Gigabit Infrastructure Act’) (see EUROPE B13344A5).
