22/02/24 (Agence Europe) – MEPs on the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry (ITRE) voted in favour of the provisional agreement on the Net-Zero Industry Act (NZIA) on Thursday 22 February. The text is therefore expected to be submitted to the rest of the MEPs at the plenary session in April. “With this adoption we take a first step towards having a viable business case for our industry under the Green Deal”, said the text’s rapporteur, Christian Ehler (EPP, German).
