Free trade agreements can only benefit EU agri-food trade, says European Commission

A new study by the European Commission, published on Thursday 22 February, examines and details the potential effects of ten future free trade agreements (FTAs), either concluded or under negotiation, on the EU’s agri-food trade.

Unsurprisingly, the paper argues that these agreements would diversify the EU’s sources of imports, increase the value of its exports and contribute to the resilience of the EU’s supply chains.
