Partial registration of ‘European Cannabis Initiative’ ECI

06/02/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 6 February, the European Commission announced the partial registration of the European Citizens’ Initiative (ECI) ‘European Cannabis Initiative’. Of the three objectives put forward by the promoters of the ECI, it has only retained two, namely: - promote the therapeutic use of cannabis and its derivatives in the European Union; - allocate the necessary resources for researching cannabis for its therapeutic purposes.
