At the opening of the plenary session from 5 to 8 February in Strasbourg, on Monday 5 February, the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, announced a number of changes to the agenda. The following reports were added to the votes on Tuesday 6 February: those of Ilana Cicurel (Renew Europe, French) on the request for waiver of the immunity of Éva Kaïlí (NI, Greek), Sergey Lagodinsky (Greens/EFA, German) on the request for waiver of the immunity of Ioánnis Lagós (NI, Greek) and Angel Dzhambazki (ECR, Bulgarian) on the request for waiver of the immunity of Yórgos Kýrtsos (Renew Europe, Greek).
In addition, a statement by the European Commission on the water crisis and droughts in the EU as a result of the global climate crisis and the need for a sustainable and resilient water strategy for Europe was added as a second item on Tuesday afternoon.
On Wednesday, a Commission declaration on the commemoration of the 70th anniversary of Abbé Pierre’s appeal on addressing homelessness in the context of persisting poverty and social exclusion was added.
Ms Metsola also listed the names of one outgoing Member, Helmut Geuking (EPP, German), and two incoming Members: Nils Geuking (NI, German), as of 5 February, and Guy Lavocat (Renew Europe, French) as of 12 January. (Original version in French by Lionel Changeur)
