19/01/2024 (Agence Europe) – Bad Ischl in Austria, Bodø in Norway and Tartu in Estonia will be the European Capitals of Culture in 2024. To mark the occasion, Bad Ischl will be launching its ‘Culture is the New Salt’ programme on 20 and 21 January, a tribute to its salt heritage with 178 main projects. Bodø, the northernmost cultural capital, will be launching its ‘Arcticulation’ programme on 2 and 3 February, promising over 1,000 events. In Tartu, the festivities kick off on 27 and 28 January with the theme ‘Arts of Survival’, focusing on a culture that respects nature and enhances small European towns.
