MEPs validate provisional agreements reached with EU Council on reform of European electricity market

MEPs from the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE) validated, on Monday 15 January in Strasbourg, the agreements reached at the end of 2023 on the texts constituting the reform of the European electricity market.

They approved by 46 votes to 17, with one abstention, the agreement reached on 14 December between the European Parliament and the EU Council in Strasbourg on the design of the electricity market, which was the subject of the report by Nicolás...
