16/01/24 (Agence Europe) – At its plenary session on Tuesday 16 January, the European Parliament adopted the draft 2023 annual report on European competition policy by Stéphanie Yon-Courtin (Renew Europe, French) by 481 votes to 42, with 93 abstentions. The report (see EUROPE B13306A19, B13278A27, B13256A14) stresses the need for the European Commission to take effective action against predatory takeovers, cartels and anti-competitive practices.
