Polish NGOs and MEPs call on new Polish government to stop sending migrants back to Belarus

11/01/24 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 11 January, a group of 101 NGOs and 550 Polish activists, artists and academics called on the Polish Prime Minister, Donald Tusk, to put an end to the previous government’s practice of sending back migrants who had crossed the border irregularly from Belarus, according to Notes from Poland; practices described as “pushbacks” and “flagrant violations” of human rights.
