EURO 7, MEPs give green light to European Parliament/EU Council agreement

11/01/2024 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 11 January, with 55 votes in favour, 25 against and no abstentions, MEPs on the Environment Committee (ENVI) validated the provisional interinstitutional agreement reached last December (see EUROPE B12858A6) on the ‘EURO 7’ regulation. The text maintains the ‘EURO 6’ test standards and emission ceilings for cars and vans, while introducing more precise measurement of fine exhaust particles.
