Spanish Presidency of EU Council to submit new proposals to Member States on legal presumption of salaried employment for platform workers

On Friday 24 November, the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the EU will again sound out the Member States on the scope for reaching an agreement with the European Parliament on the directive on workers on digital platforms.

This time, it will focus on the issue of the legal presumption of salaried status, with a number of questions designed to assess the chances of moving closer to Parliament’s position.
