Coordination of social security systems, Spanish Presidency of EU Council to sound out Member States on latest chances of agreement with European Parliament

The Spanish Presidency of the EU Council has not forgotten the regulation on the coordination of social security systems, the much-discussed 883/2004, and intends to ask the Member States on Friday 17 November what possible compromises could be reached to relaunch the trilogues with the European Parliament.

But without waiting for a response, it has already convened a negotiation meeting with the European Parliament for 21 November.
