03/11/2023 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced, on Friday 3 November, that it had authorised a €44 million Slovakian State aid scheme for electricity storage facilities, notified under the Crisis and Transition Framework (see EUROPE 13138/1). The scheme will be fully funded by the Recovery and Resilience Facility (RRF), the main instrument of the Next Generation EU recovery package. The aid will benefit storage projects selected through calls for tender. Support will take the form of direct grants covering up to 65% of total investment costs, with a maximum amount of aid per project of €25 million. (EV)
